Mass Tort / Environmental Litigation

Milberg maintains an active mass tort practice representing victims who have suffered personal injuries as a result of dangerous and defective pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other products.  Milberg attorneys serve as liaison counsel in the Zyprexa multidistrict litigation pending in the Eastern District of New York and on the plaintiffs’ steering committee in the Kugel Mesh Hernia Patch multidistrict litigation pending in the District of Rhode Island.  Our attorneys also contribute to the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in the Avandia multidistrict litigation in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania as well as Yasmin/Yaz in the Southern District of Illinois.

Milberg has also successfully represented victims of environmental torts.  The Firm’s environmental  cases have included representing more than 4,000 individuals asserting personal injury and property damage claims related to the Stringfellow Dump Site in Southern California, participation in the In re Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Litigation, No. 3AN-89-2533 (Alaska Super. Ct. 3d Jud. Dist.), and representing individuals suffering personal injuries and property damage as a result of a toxic spill caused by a Southern Pacific train derailment near Dunsmuir, California.  We are currently working on cases filed as a result of the Gulf Coast oil spill.
