Overview
Milberg maintains an active mass tort practice representing victims who have suffered personal injuries as a result of dangerous and defective pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other products.   Milberg attorneys serve as members of the plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the multidistrict Rezulin litigation pending in the Southern District of New York and as liaison counsel in the consolidated Serzone pharmaceutical litigation in New York Supreme Court.   In addition, the Firm is active in the Vioxx, Fen-Phen, and Baycol pharmaceutical litigations.  

Milberg has also successfully represented victims of environmental torts.   The Firm’s environmental  cases have included representing more than 4,000 individuals asserting personal injury and property damage claims related to the Stringfellow Dump Site in Southern California, participation in the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Litigation, No. 3AN-89-2533   (Alaska Super. Ct. 3d Jud. Dist.), and representing individuals suffering personal injuries and property damage as a result of a toxic spill caused by a Southern Pacific train derailment near Dunsmuir, California.  The Firm has also advised a private water utility in Wilmington, Delaware in a case involving Bis (2-chloroethyl) ether (BCEE) water supply contamination by a neighboring chemical production facility.
